Vote Sandy Vinson for Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District Board

Hello! My name is Sandy Vinson and I’m running for a position on the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District Board.

My background of volunteerism in Pleasant Hill has been ongoing. Besides my 13 years with the Pleasant Hill Fourth of July Commission, I've worked the Pleasant Hill Art, Wine & Music event for over 10 years, and helped with many Community Service Day projects. I've assisted with numerous Rotary projects and events as the spouse of a Rotary Club of Pleasant Hill member. There is always a need for volunteers, and I have been a ready and able participant.

I look forward to using my community and work background to further the mission of the PHRPD. My husband Allen and I started out in Pleasant Hill as a young couple raising our 3 sons, enjoying the parks, facilities and activities that were available during those younger years.

One of my goals is to help ensure that we are able to maintain and improve the treasured assets that we have.

We must continue to use our creativity to meet the challenges caused as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic; most importantly, health & safety issues and the financial challenges that the District faces now and for the foreseeable future.

I want children and families to continue to enjoy all that the District provides as well as ensure that our Senior citizens have access to the programs and activities that enrich their lives.

Please vote on November 3rd and vote for Sandy Vinson for the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District Board!

By the way…..I decided to run for the PHRPD Board position without campaign signs or posters and without soliciting or accepting any donations from any individual or organization. Any costs incurred are covered by my own funds.

I’m using Social Media and word of mouth to reach voters about my candidacy. Please forward my website and/or Facebook link to your friends that live in the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District.

PHRPD Vision Statement

“To be the leaders in providing WOW! experiences every day.”

Shannon Hills Park

Each one of the PHRPD parks and facilities is a daily WOW experience! One of my goals is to help ensure that we are able to maintain and improve the treasured assets that we have.

PHRPD Mission Statement

"In order to serve the diverse recreational needs of individuals and families and to enrich the quality of life for all residents, the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District is committed to providing park facilities, open space, and programs and activities for all ages."

Several of the Pleasant Hill facilities under the management of PHRPD were rebuilt in the not to distant past. The Teen Center was the first to be completed in 2012, the Senior Center followed in 2013 and the Community Center in 2014. These facilities and the programs and activities that each provides, indeed meet the standards of the PHRPD Mission Statement. We must continue to use our creativity to meet the challenges caused as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic; most importantly, health & safety issues and the financial challenges that the District faces now and for the foreseeable future.
